Driven by good intentions and conscious awareness of the global degradation of our coastal eco-systems, the DMPI-ECCC’s officers and staff have volunteered to join this worthy cause of MANGROVE PLANTING last October 7, 2017 at Bonbon area.  It is common knowledge that our coastal communities are first to face the impacts of coastal degradation, i.e. reduced flood protection, decreased water quality, extreme soil erosion, as well as rapid decline in the variety and abundance of food sources.  Thus, this activity had been one of the highlights of the month-long celebration of Cooperative movement.  As in the previous years, the organization has been an active participant in this valuable venture, as it recognized a serious concern in taking care of the environment.  This is a display of genuine effort of giving back to mother nature what it has generously provided to humankind.
